Our baby Nursery is located in the refitted Morrels building – a characterful
Edwardian hardware shop – on Kennington Lane and offers a safe and stimulating environment
for our youngest children.

It has been designed as an open plan space, able to take 24 children with a dedicated carpeted area for
crawling, a messy area for, well, making a mess and a separate sleeping area with cots for the babies.
We also have a good sized, secure private courtyard as an outdoor play area.

As far as possible we follow your child’s routine rather than imposing our own and
provide a high level of care for your child’s basic needs – sleep, comfort, cleanliness and safety –
as well as stimulating new interests.

With the older children in the Baby Nursery, whilst more vocal and mobile and having
more scope to potter about, our emphasis is still very much on their physical and emotional care.
We encourage the different ages to mix but they are also split into different groups and will spend
most of their time taking part in activities appropriate to their age.

You’ll receive a daily email summary of how your child’s day has gone, with details of their general
wellbeing, sleep, eating, nappy changing and activities.

When your child reaches the age of 2, we offer a flexible window to allow your child to transition
to our Pre-School Nursery, making sure they are ready to join the other younger children
across the road at St. Anselm’s hall.
