The Pelican pre-school was established in 2007 by Simon Arthur and his wife Shirley as a Montessori school and was followed by the opening of our baby nursery in 2014 when we were joined by Lauren. Lauren now manages both nurseries aided by Shauni as her deputy.

Over the years we have
worked with the children of hundreds of local families and had the wonderful opportunity
to share with their parents both the joy and the challenges that babies and pre-schoolers bring. 

We’re an independent nursery rather than a chain which means that all our efforts are focussed on our Kennington sites and you will always find a senior member of the team on site.

The staff team are key to the success of what we do. From the beginning, we’ve believed that
the quality of our staff enables us to be the type and style of nursery we imagined from the beginning.
We have a highly qualified team and work hard to ensure that the different personalities and skills
of all those who work here blend to create a safe, happy and stimulating environment
where children can thrive.
