Government Funding

Government funding is in a state of change at the moment - funding for under 2’s is available for some children from September 2024. All funding is based on the academic year of 38 weeks and paid by term. Children become eligible the term after they reach either nine months, 2 years or 3 years. Term dates are 1st January, 1st April and 1st September. none of the funding meets our actual fees per month for non - funded children but we pass on the full amount to bill payers in equal amounts discounted from monthly fees. These ‘discounts’ are listed below by age bracket. The funding for under 2’s is disproportionally higher than for over twos which means that your monthly fees may increase during your child’s time with us.

Government Funded Hours for under 2’s

Some children qualify for 15 hours of funding towards childcare per week for the 38 weeks of the academic year from the term after they reach nine months old. Spread over the calendar year this has the effect of reducing the monthly fees published above by an average of £623.67 per month.

Government Funded Hours for 2 year olds

Some children qualify for 15 hours of funding towards childcare per week for the 38 weeks of the academic year from the term after their 2nd birthday. Spread over the calendar year this has the effect of reducing the monthly fees published above by an average of £456.30 per month.

Government Funded Hours for 3 & 4 year olds

All children qualify for 15 hours funding towards childcare from the term after they turn 3. Currently this reduces the fees published above by £312 per month. Some children meeting certain economic criteria will qualify for an additional 15  hours of funded childcare per week (30 hours). Spread over the calendar year this has the effect of reducing the monthly fees by an average of £624 per month. We prioritise children attending 4 or 5 days per week for the limited number of 30 hours funded places we offer.

Tax free childcare account

Some families may be eligible for a tax free childcare account where the government contributes up to 20% of Nursery fees.

Vaccinations

We are only able to accept children who are up to date with the government recommended vaccinations and who are prepared to keep them up to date.

In the event of Covid related closure or groups of children having to isolate due to a positive case at the nursery we charge 65% of fees for that period.
